For that which you love...

According to a beautiful Tirmizi Hadith -

( Urdu version is followed by the (translated) English one )

Allah says :

" Ay Ibn Adam !
Ek teri chahat hai ,

Ek meri chahat hai ,
Hoga wohi jo meri chahat hai.

Agar tune supurd kar diya apne aapko uske jo meri chahat hai ,

To tujhe dey doonga woh ...Jo teri chahat hai

Lekin agar tune mukhalifat ki uski jo meri chahat hai

To tujhe thaka doonga usme... jo teri chahat hai

Magar hoga wohi jo meri chahat hai. "

O' Son of Adam !
There is one which you love ,

There is one which I (Allah) love ,
Only that will happen which I love.

If you submit (devote) yourself to that which I love ,

Then I will give you that... which you love.

But if you oppose that which I love ,

Then I will tire you in that... which you love.

But only that will happen which I love.

Mother of Believers , A'isha Siddiqa ( Radi Allah Anha ) was a great scholar , hafiza of the Quran and is known as the source of reporting a great number of Ahadith.

She was an eloquent woman whose speech was good and beautiful and nobody could speak as well as she did.

Abu Musa (radi allah anhu) once said, “ Whenever a report appeared doubtful to us, the Companions of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) , and we asked ‘A'isha about it, we always learned something from her about it. ”

She was very generous and her heart was very rich.
Many weeks would pass before anything would be cooked in the house of the Prophet (saws) . Mostly their nutrition was through dates and water.

( And for that she was thankful to Allah...)

Among all the wives of the Prophet (saws) , she was the only one who was a virgin. The rest of them (Allah be pleased with all of them) were either widows or divorcees.

(1) The Prophet had raced with her ( A'isha ) two times. She won the first race. And later when she gained weight , he (saws) raced with her again ; this time he won and he said to her :

" A'isha! This is (the return) for the first race !! "

( " A'isha! Ye us din ka badla hai !! " )

(2) One day her father , Abu Bakr ( Radi Allah Anhu ) came to her home and found that she was busy in arguing ( behas ) with the Prophet(saws) as women usually do with their husbands.

Abu Bakr (ra) became angry and wanted to hit her. But the Messenger of Allah came forward and stopped him. In a few minutes the matter was over.

After Abu Bakr (RA) left their home , the Prophet said :

" Didn't you see how I came in between you and your father (and you were saved from beatings !) ?! "

(3) On another occasion , a Persian (Farsi) man invited him (saws) to food. This incident was at the time when the rule/revelation for Purdah (veil) had not come.

The Prophet told the man , 'She ( A'isha ) will also be with me.'
The man replied , 'I have preparations only for one guest.'

After some days , again the man invited to have food.

Again the Prophet (saws) said , 'She will be with me.'
And the man again excused himself (from including her in the invitation).

When the man tried the third time ; the Prophet yet again responded that she would be with him. Now the man had no option but to agree.

From this we know how much he loved her that he (saws) would not come alone but would bring his wife too.

(4) When the following verses were revealed :

" O Prophet, say to your wives: "If you desire the life of this world and its glitter, then come! I will provide for your enjoyment and set you free in a handsome manner. But if you seek God, His Messenger, and the Home of the Hereafter, verily God has prepared for you, the well-doers among you, a great reward. "

( 'set you free' = divorce you )

Life in the Prophet's house was uncomfortable. For this reason, either explicitly or implicitly, his wives made some modest demands.
It is not easy to merit being together with the Messenger in this world and the hereafter. Thus, these special women were put to a great test. The Messenger allowed them to choose his poor home or the world's luxury. If they chose the world, he would give them whatever they wanted and then dissolve his marriage with them. If they chose Allah and His Messenger, they had to be content with their lives. This was a peculiarity of his family. Since this family was unique, its members had to be unique.

The Messenger said to A'isha :

" Take your parents advice before making a decision ; don't be hasty in deciding. "

She replied immediately :
" Is this something for which I should seek advice ? The matter is clear , I choose Allah and His Messenger and the Home of the Hereafter. "

(Muslim)

How he (saws) feared that his beloved might in haste choose to leave him (saws) !

(5) It was a habit / routine (ma'mul) of our Prophet (saws) that everyday he would visit each of his wives for a few minutes. Then the night would be spent with that wife according to their respective turns.

Even during his final days , when he was so weak and sick , he used to visit them properly without fail ; but he would ask :
" Mata yawmu A'isha ? "

" When will be A'isha's day ? "

Hearing this , all the Mothers of Believers decided that he (saws) should stay in A'isha's home during his last days and they would all gather in her home.

He passed away on the day , which was 'her day' ; it was her home ; and it was her bosom (or lap) where he breathed his last of life on earth.

From A'isha ( Radi Allah Anha ) it is reported as :

" The day was also mine ;

The home was also mine ;

The bosom (or lap) was also mine . "

And his beloved's home then became his blessed grave too.

The Azan of the Devil

In Sura Luqman , Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) says :

1. Alif-Lam-Mim.

2. These are Verses of the Wise Book (the Qur'an).

3. A guide and a mercy for the Muhsinun (good-doers)

4. Those who perform As-Salat and give Zakat and they have faith in the Hereafter with certainty.

5. Such are on guidance from their Lord, and such are the successful.

6. And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e.music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allah, the Verses of the Qur'an) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire).

7. And when Our Verses (of the Qur'an) are recited to such a one, he turns away in pride, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in his ear. So announce to him a painful torment.

These verses show us 2 groups of mankind:
(1) The good ones , their good deed (V.4) , their success.
(2) The bad ones , their bad deed (V.6) , their failure (Hell-fire). I

In Verses 2 and 3 , Allah (swt) tells us that this Quran , is a guide (Hidayat) and a mercy (rahma) only for the Muhsinun.

The Quran is a guide and a mercy , but not for all people ?
Why ?

For Allah , His entire creation is equal.
Like a mother to whom all her children are equal , though it seems as if she loves one child more than another.

Similarly to Allah everyone of us is equal but on the basis of man's character (qirdar) , he either becomes beloved to Allah or disliked by Allah.

A person's character , a person's deeds (amal) decide Allah's decision for that person.

The person who accepts the guidance (Hidayat) , wisdom (Hikma) of the Quran , for him , there is Allah's mercy.

Such a person will perform Salat , pay Zakat , believe in the Day of Qiyamah.

If Eman is strong then he will NEVER leave (even a single) Salat (prayer).

Verse 6 says :
" And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e.music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allah, the Verses of the Qur'an) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire). "

Here Allah tells about the 2nd group -
The one who purchased 'idle talks' (khel tamashe) ;
They themselves went astray (gumrah) and took other people also alongwith them. Allah says , for such people there will be punishment (Hell).

How is the character of a person from the 2nd group ?

" And when Our Verses (of the Qur'an) are recited to such a one, he turns away in pride, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in his ear. So announce to him a painful torment. "

In other words , when a good person advises them , they do not listen.

During the early days of Islam , it was through the recitation of Quran , that when people heard it , the Eman rose in their heart and they accepted Islam.

Our hearts do not melt the same way , as we do not understand Arabic...

It was during that period that the Kafirs of Makkah thought : ' How to pull people away ? So that they do not listen to the words of the Quran ? '

A man , Nazar bin Haris , came up with an idea.
He suggested that they would arrange for singers , music and story-telling (on love etc). When people hear these things , they will not go to listen to the Quran.

At this , Allah sent down these verses stated above.

'Idle talks' , which will make people ignorant.
That will make him forget his real aim in life.

What is our real aim in life ???

" And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone) "

(Sura Adh-Dhariyat , V.56)

This 'idle talk' , still exists , with advancement.
Radio (singers voices) , Television (music , pictures etc) , Tape recorder (music, songs) , Dish antennaes.

And their aim ?
Same as the aim plotted by the Kafirs of Makkah.

Today's Kafirs have presented us ( Muslims ? ) their 'advancements' with an attractive package.

The trap is to make Muslims weak.
To destroy the young generation , these 'advancements' are made so common, accessible even to the poorest person.

The greatest danger is when man does not know that he is doing a sin.

Unless you know the illness , how can you cure it ?

We are so far gone into this dangerous disease that we no longer feel it to be a sin!

People say :

'This (TV , music , films) is our 'need' .

It is our 'culture' now.'

'Everybody does it!'

'How can it be a sin (gunah) ???'

Even if everyone does it together , it is still a SIN.

Allah has no problem in putting all of us into Hell. He has made Hell very deep , spacious ...
If a stone is thrown into Hell , it will take 70 years to reach the bottom ; get the idea ?

People give excuses :

' How will we stop the children ? They will go to other peoples home due to boredom ..'

' How will we isolate ourself from the world ? '

So , these 'idle talks' , we are all 'purchasing' them. They are there in our TV in the form of singers , actors , their pictures , music etc. In our bedroom we sit , watch them , listen to them.

Why is it a sin ?

ALLAH has said , that is WHY.
After such a clear verse , and the situation of its revelation , we should have no questions , no excuses. Still , let us explain (to ourselves ??!)

(1) Waste of time.

3 hours movie. What did you gain ?
Maybe we gained a little knowledge of this world but no gain for our Deen (Islam). There are hardly any programs without music. Even news broadcasts have some music.

We have very less time to make our eternal life/garden. This life is the period of farming.
Each moment is precious.
End of journey = ACCOUNT ( to Allah )

(2) Our mission is lost.

The mission brought by our Prophet (saws).

Mission = Spread Islam Everywhere

( We have a great problem today in " spreading Islam among ' Muslims ' " !!! )

The beloved of Allah (saws) gave his everything to accomplish that mission. Spread Islam everywhere. He spent his nights in prayers ; days in Jihad.

It is said , once he (saws) spent a whole night in prostration reciting in his supplication :

" Ya Allah! If You forgive them , You are Ghafoor rur Raheem (Forgiving , Most Merciful). And if You take account , then they are Your slaves. "

He (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is asking for the Ummah's forgiveness....

And Ummah today , is busy colouring their days and nights in watching movies , listening to music and the other such pass times.

With great pride , we say 'Our Prophet , our beloved Nabi' and definitely love to debate on how our Islam is the Greatest.

But who cares about ' PRACTISING ISLAM ' even if everybody around us is going to the cinema , musical shows etc ?

(3) Music aside , watching na-mehram persons ( be it in TV , or real life ) = Zina of eyes

Zina = Major sin

Husbands don't mind their wives ; they are busy watching their personal likes.
Wives are least bothered ; she has a lot of things to do than think about the beauty (and safety) of her and his eyes.

Poor kids , who will tell them how to remain beautiful to Allah ?

(4) After you manage to switch off the idiot-box or whatever new advanced technology has given you , the eyes are paining , the head is also aching. The body is sending you the effects of sin. Still you are not willing to treat the illness ?

In marriages , we say :

'No songs , music , latest bridal tunes ? It is no wedding !'

'Shaadi hai ya Janaza ?' ( Is it a wedding or a funeral ? )

Celebrate , be happy , but within the bounds of Allah's Shariah.
We want His blessings for a lasting , loving marital life or curses on us and our generations for disobeying His commands ?

In Ahadith we find :

[1] A man was singing and the Prophet heard him.
On it , he (saws) said : 'La salata lahu!' (3 times)
'His prayer is no prayer!'

Sing or listen , the purpose of both is the same.

So no excuses like : 'We are not singing ! We are just 'listening' !!'

Allah says :
"....perform As-Salat. Verily, As-Salat (the prayer) prevents from Al-Fahsha' (i.e. great sins of every kind) and Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of evil wicked deed) ..."
(29:45)

Our situation today :

Read namaz ; listen to music too.
Read namaz ; watch movies as well.
Read namaz ; do zina also ( a little is still 'zina'! By eyes, by tongue...)
Read namaz ; take riba
Read namaz ; gossip , backbite , without thinking twice.
Read namaz ; have weddings which are more like Kafir's style.

How will such a namaz (prayer /salat) be accepted ?

Prayers which are not stopping us from sins , are no prayers at all ; still asking why ?
Read Verse 29:45 again.

[2] Near to the Day of Qiyamah , some of my people will have their faces transformed into monkeys and pigs.

The Companions asked him surprised , ' Why O' Rasulullah ? They did not have Eman ?'

These people will believe in Allah ;
They will witness that I am the Messenger of Allah ;
They will pray , keep fasts , perform Hajj too.

But among them musical instruments , female singers will be common. They will drink alcohol and their nights will pass in this idle fun ...

Their nights will be spent and on one morning Allah will grip them in His punishment.

How are our Fridays ?

The night before Friday:

Some are glued to the cricket match ;
Others are busy watching movies ;
Some go shopping , others to picnics and while the Muazzin says :

'Hay yalal falah' ( Hurry to your success! )
'As-Salatu Khayrum minnan nawm' ( Prayer is better than sleep )

We are dead tired and in deep sleep.

It is said that when Friday comes , the universe shakes in terror ( as Qiyamah will be on a FRIDAY ). Angels are also in a state of fear wondering if today the day of Qiyamah would start ?

How are our Fridays ?

[3] A Hadith by Abu Umamah is reported as :

When Iblees (Devil) was banished from Jannah , he requested Allah for some things :

'O Allah , make some house for me!'
Allah said , 'All the toilets are your home.'

'Make some place of sitting for me!'
'All bazaars and roads are your places of sitting.'

'What will be my food ?'
'Everything which is eaten without taking My name (i'e Bismillah...)'

'And my drink ?'
'All intoxicating , alcoholic things.'

'Ya Allah , What will be my Azan ?'
'Music , singing , and the lot is your Azan!'

The muazzin calls , 'Hay yalas salah' (Hurry to the prayer)
'Hay yalal falah' (Hurry to success)

And man comes ; eyes closed , ears closed.

And when Shaytaan calls (music , songs) ; man races towards it like it is his source of peace and success!

Further , Shaytaan asked :
'Allah , what will be my talk ?'
'All lies will be your talk!'

'And what will be my trap (jaal) , by which I will attract mankind ?'
'Women shall be your trap !'

Women who roam the bazaars , the malls , the universities , everywhere among the men , without purdah (Islamic dress code) .

Just one woman's fitnah is enough to take many men to Hell.

The first among those men would be her father , her brother , her husband , her son.....

[4] Molten copper shall be poured into the ears , that listen to music , on the Day of Judgement.

[5] The Prophet has also said :

' Don't even read Janaza (funeral) prayer for the person who has singers and plays songs! '

We have these singers in our TV (and other means)...

____________________________________________________________________

It is hard , very hard to leave these idle talks , especially as everyone around us is busy in them ...

BUT , the biggest task is to SAVE YOURSELF despite everyone !

If others are pulling you to Hell ...to destruction ...to great torment ...won't you fight them ???

Today onwards , when TV is switched on in your home :

(1) Take the Quran , sit alone , recite , learn verses , read its translation.
(2) Do something else that will refresh your self so that you can return to worship with stronger Eman...

Islam is moderation ; so amuse yourself with the legal ways...for a little while.

Use your time well. Live your life as a MUSLIM.

Remember , everytime you hear that music you love , and don't do a day without ...

It is SHAYTAAN'S AZAN.

The Mercy of Ar-Rahman

Sura Rahman , Chapter 55 , known as the 'Bride of the Quran' begins thus :

1. The Most Beneficent (Allah)!
2. Has taught (you mankind) the Qur'an (by His Mercy).
3. He created man.
4. He taught him eloquent speech.

Verse 1 says : 'Ar-Rahman'

There are 99 names of Allah , which includes 'Ar-Rahman' , i.e the one who is merciful or has mercy.
Our connection is only with Allah's attributes ( eg. Ar-Rahman - The Most Gracious , Ar-Raheem - The Most Merciful , Al-Wadood - The loving , Al-Ghafoor - The forgiving ) and not with the knowledge of how His 'form' is.

His name is Allah.

From the names of His attributes , the name at the highest level , the peak of his attributes is - 'Ar-Rahman' .

The Sura starts as : 'Ar - Rahman'......( I am Rahman...)

Why is this particular Sura , starting with this specific attribute ?

Because it is this attribute , 'Rahman' ( the one with mercy ) that we need the most.

In trouble , we say : 'O Allah , have mercy on me !'

In anxiety , our lips pray : 'My Lord! Be merciful to me !'

In this life as well as the life after Death , we are constantly in need of His 'mercy' , 'Ar-Rahma'.

Even Jannah we will get only through His mercy.

We must not rely on our good deeds , but on His mercy ( for what good and how much have we done anyway ?? ).

A believer must maintain a path between fear of Allah and hope from His mercy.

The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) has said :
' I am also in need of Allah's mercy. '
And he (saws) is the best in all respects among mankind !

A Hadeeth says :

"Allah has divided mercy into one hundred parts; and He retained with Him ninety-nine parts, and sent down to earth one part. Through this one part creatures deal with one another with compassion. "

A mother loves her child so much , due to that one part of Rahma that Allah bestowed.
Then think , how much Allah loves his creatures ; Allah who has 99 times the mercy of all the mothers in the world ?

Allah says that He is Rich (Gani , Rich , free of all wants) and you (human beings) are poor....

If all mankind becomes kafir , it causes no change , no want for Allah.
If everyone becomes Salih (good , pious) , even that makes no change in Allah's Richness.

He doesn't need our prayers , fasts , zikr , good character , anything. It is we who are in absolute need of Him. In want of His MERCY.

There is a Ka'ba for the dwellers of earth , and a similar house ( called Bait-ul-Ma'mur ) directly above the Ka'ba of the earth , in the seventh Heaven. Everyday 70,000 angels perform 'Tawaf' around it and the angels who have done it once , will not get their turn again till the Day of Qiyamah.

Think then , how many angels are there ???

Allah has created angels who worship Him completely. He doesn't need our half-hearted , weak acts of worship.

But yet Allah is Merciful , Rahman.....

When we are hungry , He shows us hospitality , provides us with food...
When we are sleeping , He places guard over us...
When we are sinning , He is Merciful....

He lets us loose , allows us freedom , doesn't catch us so quickly upon our sins ; Sin upon sin , we pile up ; yet He gives us time to turn back , to repent.

But man himself makes this Mercy into Azab (punishment).

Moosa
(alayhis salam) had a habit , that when he used to sit for eating , he liked to eat with some guest. One day , nobody was there to eat with him ; so he went out and found an old man and requested him to come and eat with him (Moosa (as)).

Moosa(as) : 'First , you must say 'Bismillah hir rahma nir raheem' before you eat.'

Old man : 'I don't know this.I won't say it. I will take the name of my God.'

Moosa (as) gets angry and says : 'If you won't take Allah's name , then go away.'

So the man went.

Allah sent Jibreel (alayhis salam) to convey to Moosa (as) that He did not like the way Moosa (as) behaved with the old man.

Allah said , ' Since 80 years , this man is disobeying me , doing shirk with me , but still I am feeding him and you could not give him food for one day ? '

The attributes , Rahman and Raheem both pertain to 'mercy' but :
Ar-Rahman is a name that encompasses every type of mercy that Allah has. It has more meanings of mercy than Raheem.

Allah forgives on the basis of small , small deeds also for some people.

Once , a man died , and his near , dear one saw him in dreams and asked , ' What did Allah decide with you ? '

The dead man : 'He forgave me.'

'On what deed did He forgive ?'

" I did not know , but once Allah Himself called me and asked , ' Do you know why I forgave you ? ' "

Allah continued :
'One day you were sitting in the company of people who had gathered to remember Me. You were advising and telling people about Me.In that company was a man who never had any fear of me. On hearing you , his heart was filled with fear of Me and he started to cry. His crying made me love him. Earlier , he never used to fear me. It was on his crying that I forgave the entire assembly of people.'

Allah is looking for excuses to forgive us!

Who knows whose sitting , talking , walking may serve to save many others from punishment ?

When Rahman's Rahmat (mercy) burst with full force ...
When the ocean of His mercy boiled over.....
He gave His slaves a gift.

It was the attribute of Ar-Rahman due to which , Allah has given us , The Quran , the gift.

Verses say :

1. The Most Beneficent (Allah)!
2. Has taught (you mankind) the Qur'an (by His Mercy).

Allah has given many types of knowledge in the world. Be it farming , science , engineering. Every kind of Ilm (knowledge) is found. Moreover , Ilm keeps increasing over time.

But , the peak , the highest place of all knowledge , is the knowledge of Al-Quran.

(1) Ar-Rahman - the peak of Allah's attributes
(2) Has taught the Qur'an - the peak of all knowledge

But man has put that behind him.

Most knowledge we seek today is from schools , tuitions , colleges for our wordly needs ; no effort is spared to attain it. We do not value the peak of knowledge : The Quran.

What does it mean by ‘value’ the Quran ? Read on….

Verse 3 says :
3. " He created man."

Allah says that amongst all His creation , be it angels , Jinns , animals , plants , human beings ; the best (Ashraf ul Makhluqat) of His creation is mankind.

It is the ‘peak of His creation’.

Man’s outer appearance , his inner faculties ; It is the peak of Allah's perfection in creation.

It is we , who say :

‘This person’s nose is small.’
‘That fellow’s eyes are very big.’
‘The girl does not have good features.’

We are criticising Allah , not the person we chose as an object for ridicule.

Listen again then to what Allah says :
“ Verily, We created man of the best stature (mould) "

" Humne insaan ko bada khubsoorat banaya "

(Sura Tin , Verse 4 )

Allah has also told us that He has created man with His own Hands and then blown the soul into him (man). What Allah makes is perfect ; but it is man’s own bad deeds that debase him to the point where he becomes worse than animals.

“ Then We reduced him to the lowest of the low, "

(Sura Tin , Verse 5)

Today we are namesake Muslims , we are ‘called’ Muslims .
Our bad deeds ; not practising Islam in its entirety according to the Quran and the Sunnah has resulted in our present world problems.

Allah has made us the ‘best of His creation’ – are we grateful ?
Further , He has made our birth into Muslim homes – are we thankful ?

We could have been born in a Kafir’s home and spent life without knowing Islam , without being guided to be a MUSLIM.

Morever , He has made us the Best Prophet’s (saws) Ummati. His Ummah is the best among all the Ummah’s of previous Prophets!

Verse 4 of Sura Rahman says :

" He taught him eloquent speech."

Allah has given us the power of hearing , seeing , feeling but He has mentioned here only about the faculty of ‘speech’.

Now if we consider all 4 verses of Sura Rahman and compare it to a Hadith in which the Prophet (saws) has said that this best faculty (of speech) , use it to learn the best of knowledge (Al-Quran) , sent by the Best , Ar-Rahman .

Another Hadith says :
" The best among you are those who learn and teach the Quran. "

And we say :

This man’s house is the best.’
‘That person has the best of such and such (worldly)thing.

We can’t teach maybe , no problem. Include yourself ‘among the best’ by seeking to learn Quran in some way ; be it the proper way to recite (with Tajweed) , its translation and so on.

The above mentioned Hadith was referred to his (saws) Companions (Radi Allah Anhum) as much as to us today.

The Sahaba (Companions) , who were , still ARE the BEST , the elite of Muslims ; to them he (saws) has said that ‘the best among you (Sahaba) are those who learn or teach the Quran’ .

The best are further classified into yet higher levels!

We cannot even compare ourselves to the soles of their (Sahabas) footwear !

The Rights of the Quran on you are :

(1) Reading it. ( Isko pado )
(2) Understanding it. ( Isko samjho )
(3) Believing / accepting it. ( Isko mano )
(4) Practising it. ( Is par amal karo )
(5) Spreading / conveying its message to people. ( Isko logo tak pohchao )

These are the rights of the Quran upon EVERY MUSLIM.

In a Hadith , we get to know that :

If you fulfill all 5 rights then on the Day of Judgement it (the Quran) will stand as a witness on your behalf.

If you have fulfilled its rights , it will argue for you with Allah.
If you have disregarded it , it shall speak against you……

And in both situations it is a very strong fighter!

We argue that Arabic is not our language , it is difficult to understand and so on ; even for our own mother tongue we need a tutor to help us ; similarly for the Quran , how can you expect its knowledge to come to us , sitting at home ?

The way to Jannah

The following is a lecture (bayan) by Maulana Tareeq Jameel.

The nikah of Ali (Radi Allah anhu) and Fatima (Radi Allah anha) took place 2 months prior to Fatima's 'sending away'.

When the time came for her 'sending away' ....

The Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) calls Umm Aiman.

Umm Aiman was the slave of his (saws) mother Amina. He (saws) has spoken that ' if you want to see a Jannati woman, then look at Umm Aiman '.

It was then that Zaid bin Haritha (RA) , a Companion (Sahaba) of the Prophet wed Umm Aiman and through this nikah came Usama bin Zaid (RA).

On the day that Fatima was to be sent away to her husband's home , she (Fatima) says 'I was working in the house , I had no idea what was to happen then.'

When Umm Aiman came , the Prophet says , "Umm Aiman , leave Fatima at Ali's house."

This is the 'sending away' of the daughter of a ruler ; a Badshah's (King's) Shehzadi (Princess) daughter.

A princess going to her husband's home on feet.

No ceremony. No people to see her off.

Atleast he (saws) could have called his Sahaba to attend this auspicious occasion.

There was a man who spent 50,000 on his daughter's wedding outfit. People still said it was rather 'cheap'.

In that much money , 5 poor daughters could have been married!

He (saws) wanted his Ummah's poor girls to find it easy in their marriage.

When spending so much today , people argue :
' What will society say ? '
( Hamari naak kat ja-aygi = Our nose will be cut off = infront of society we will lose esteem )

CUT that nose which breaks the Prophet's Sunnah.

Life is well spent/lived with ' akhlaq ' (ethics).

There are people who are 5 time namazi's yet break sunnah's in marriage.

Example : Mehndi ceremony. This is a Hindu's tradition.
How will you do Jihad against kafirs if you follow their ways instead of the Sunnah ?

When the call to prayer (azaan) is heard :
Close the market , shops , bazaars.
Women stop working.
Reply LABBAYK = I am here , my Lord!

Men to the mosque. Women to the prayer mat.
Boys to the mosque. Girls to the prayer mat.

This is the way to Jannah.

History has written a few lines for kings and moved on but it has left a great place for a woman , Rabia Basri.

At night , she would do ghusl(bath) , apply perfume and go to her husband.

She would ask , "Do you need me ?"

He replies , "No."

"Then I have permission..."

She would say 'Allahu-Akbar' and spend the night in prayers till Fajr.

Her husband died in youth itself.

Then came the proposal from Hasan Basri. The Imam of his time ; he came himself to her for her hand in nikah.

In women , they look for :
(1) Beauty - she was a black , even that would be fine , but she was no beauty still.
(2) Family - she had none
(3) Money - she was a slave

BUT , she had a heart of gold!

She said to him , "Answer me 4 questions and I will marry you."

(1) Will I get Heaven or Hell ?
(2) In which hand will I receive my deeds register ?
(3) Will my good deeds or bad deeds be more ?
(4) From the Bridge of Sirat , will I go successfully or will I fall down ?

Hasan Basri , what could he say ??
"I do not know."

So she said , " Go away then , let me get ready , I am not free for nikah. "

He who becomes Allah's , Allah becomes his.

One day , she went to cook and found there were no onions in the house ; nothing. From the sky , a bird came , clasped in its feet were onion that came and fell directly into Rabia's lap.

Tableeg (propagation of Islam by individuals) is the hard work to learn the Sunna way of life. From which , love comes alive ; ' akhlaq '(ethics) are learnt ; forgiveness is given (by people to each other).

A mother says on her daughter's wedding :
"I gave her everything. Jewels , clothes , property. Everything."

You adorned her neck with necklace , ears with earrings , hands with bangles ...

Why did you not adorn her heart ?
( You did not give her Allah's connection ! You did not give her the Sunnah way of life ! )

A father says :
"I made my son a good businessman , he can handle everything now. Just his marriage is left. "

The same son fights with his wife over trifles :
'Why didn't you sow my button on ?'
Over that he belittles his wife.

You did not give him anything , if you did not give him the Sunnah way of life.

Did you teach Akhlaq (ethics) ?

People do not know their limits today.
Son does not know his limit. Daughter does not know her limit.
Father-in-law does not know his limit. Mother-in-law does not know her limit.

Small family , life easy - NO.
Religious family : life easy .
If one has 10 children , all brought up according to the Quran and Sunna : life easy.
Even 2 kids can make life hell if raised against the principles of Islam.

Learn to forgive.
There is a lot of respect(Izzat) in it.

The Prophet says : " Take my guarantee , and forgive people ( for their wrongs to you ) . "
" Forgive. Allah will give you Izzat (respect , esteem)."

In Surah Luqman , we have a lesson on Child rearing.
Every father , mother , teacher , professor should read Sura Luqman.

Teach the baby to say , 'Allah ....Allah...Allah...'

His first word should NOT be Abba , Amma , no no!

" And (remember) when Luqman said to his son when he was advising him: "O my son! Join not in worship others with Allah. Verily! Joining others in worship with Allah is a great Zulm (wrong) indeed. "

Verse 13 , Chapter 31

(1) Join not in worship others with Allah.

La ilaha il-lal-lah.
La ilaha il-lal-lah.

Repeat it to the baby !

A child was sent to learn Alif , Ba , Ta to a teacher.
He read Alif Lam Meem and finished 15 Juz of Quran infront of a surprised tutor. The tutor came to the mother and inquired if she had intended some joke.

She said , " When I used to breast-feed him , I would be reading the Quran simultaneously...."

Today , in our room , we have music , songs.
And we expect the child to be loyal to us (parents) ?
First day onwards his mind has been poisoned!

Nobody does anything except Allah's will.

"O my son! If it be (anything) equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed, and though it be in a rock, or in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Verily, Allah is Subtle (in bringing out that grain), Well-Aware (of its place). "
Verse 16 , Chapter 31

(2) The day of Judgement is going to take place. Prepare for it!

Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (Rahmathullahi alayh) was sent out in search of knowledge as a child aged 11/12 years old. On the way dacoits attack their caravan.
One dacoit asks him , 'You have anything , child ?'

Sheikh : ' Yes , I have 40 dinars.See here , sewed inside my sleeves.'

The dacoit is suprised and says , ' If you did not tell me , I would not have known! '

The child replied , ' My mother has said never to tell lies. '

They take him to their Chief Dacoit. And say 'Listen to this child !'

The Chief asks the child , ' You look so innocent , if you had not told , we would not search you. Why did you tell boy ? '

" Always tell the truth , my mother has said. "

On hearing this , the Chief is moved to repentance :
" O my Lord , this innocent boy is so loyal to his mother and I , being adult and matured , am disloyal to You ! "

Keep your tongue straight.

(3) " O my son! Aqim-is-Salat (perform As-Salat) "

Tell your child : Read namaz. Get up. Read namaz. Keep telling again and again.

At no cost a salat be lost.If parents had given this lesson , there would be no emptiness in Masjids.

In Tableeg , we say , come pray , learn.
This was PARENTS WORK !

" O my son! Aqim-is-Salat (perform As-Salat), enjoin (people) for Al-Ma'ruf (Islamic Monotheism and all that is good), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief in the Oneness of Allah, polytheism of all kinds and all that is evil and bad), and bear with patience whatever befall you. "
Verse 17 , Chapter 31

(4) Go spread goodness and stop evil.
PARENTS WORK !

Sufyan Thawri was sent by his mother on Allah's way. After 19 years he returned. Still his mother urged him to go on the same way as she had gifted him to Allah and to meet her with pleasure on the day of Judgement. So he went and came to Makkah.

Abu Jafar Mansoor's caliphate had given orders to hang him. Sufyan was lying in someone's lap when he got the news. He stood up and came straight to Multazam ( a part of Ka'bah ) and prayed , "If you let Abu Jafar come here , friendship will not remain ( between You and me )."

Abu Jafar died before entering Taif.

This is the way to Jannah.

Verse 17 says , " Ya bunayya... "
" O my son! ...."

With love call them.
It is a rebellious generation. Don't try scolding and beating.
Explain them with love....

O' my little son ; my sweet son !

(5) Don't be of bad akhlaq (ethics).

"And turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. Verily, Allah likes not each arrogant boaster."

"And be moderate (or show no insolence) in your walking, and lower your voice. Verily, the harshest of all voices is the voice (braying) of the ass."
Verses 18 , 19

Allah has said for :
Tawheed - a few words (see 1)
Salat - a few words (see 3)
Tableeg - 1 line (see 4)
Akhlaq - 2 whole verses are devoted to it (Verse 18 , 19)

It is through Akhlaq (ethics) that 'homes' are made.

Religious families inquire about the prospective son/daughter -in-law's Salat , but what about 'Akhlaq' ???

Allah has given us a whole program on which to train our children.

When the Companion , Saad bin Muaaz (RA) died , Angel Jibreel (alayhis salam) came to the Prophet (saws) and asked , 'Who passed away today ?'

The Prophet (saws) asked , 'Why ?'

Jibreel (A.S) : ' Allah's Arsh (Throne) is rejoicing in pleasure that someone is coming. And all the angels of seven heavens are celebrating that someone is coming......'

When a Mu'min (believer) dies , his soul goes straight and prostrates under the Arsh.

The Prophet exclaimed , 'Ah! My Saad went...'

And he (saws) made haste to Saad (RA)'s home with the Companions running behind him.
'Make haste , make haste , I fear the angels will give him ghusl before us!' , explained our Prophet (saws).

When they carried his Janaza , his body weight seemed to be none at all (and he was a well-built man). So the Munafiq (hypocrites) started whispering that since he (Saad) was a Munafiq , hence his Janaza seemed weightless.

The Prophet retorted that 'It is not your shoulders that are bearing him (Saad) , it is angels who are shouldering his Janaza , you are merely providing your touch.'

Aashiq ka janaza hai , zara dhoom se nikle.
Mehboob ki galiyon se , zara ghoom ke nikle.

To die , let us die like this !

For it , come , come to the Sunna way of life.
Do Tauba (repentance) !
Atleast make the intent of repenting.
Who knows when Death will come calling ?

And Allah is ready to forgive all sins.

Even a mother will not forgive so easily. She will scold , she will be a little angry (even after seeking forgiveness).

BUT ALLAH , when you seek forgiveness , says :
"Go ! I forgive you ! I was waiting just for you to come ,to seek forgiveness , so that I may forgive."

There was a man from Banu Israel. He killed 99 people. Then thought of seeking forgiveness.

He asked an illiterate person , 'Will I be forgiven ?'

'No way! You will go straight to Hell ; you have killed 99!'

So the man killed the illiterate and completed 100 murders.

Then he thought , I must ask a scholar.
The Scholar advised , 'Your tauba must be sure for complete forgiveness. For that you must adopt a good atmosphere. Leave your place / city for sometime and go to so and so town where good people live.'

( That is why we say , go on Tableeg jamaaths. Leave your home , city , place for sometime to clean out the evil long time effects of the common bad atmosphere found almost everywhere. Cut yourself from daily routine life and devote yourself to Allah's way for a few days ; then increase it to month/s ; and so on )

So the man left. On the way he fell sick and Death gripped him. Still he walked. Then fell. Then crawled till Death overtook Life.

Allah loved his act and a made a trial.

Angels of hell came and said , 'He is our prisoner!'
Angels of Heaven said , 'He is our guest!'

Angels of Hell , 'His tauba was not complete ; he did not reach the town yet.'
Angels of Heaven , 'When he made intention of tauba , it was done!'

Allah sent a third angel to measure the distance ; if he was close to his home then hell ; if he was close to the town then heaven.

Land is also Allah's , the world is also Allah's ; to the distance between the man and his home , Allah ordered it to contract ; to the distance between the man and the town , Allah ordered it to spread out !

They contracted , spread out....
Allah said , 'Now put the man in Jannah !'
